well I am not overclocking mine, but that aside, if you are not
going to overclock, and can afford to buy faster CPU than the
333's, I'd but the faster CPU, and if I could afford them I'd go
with CPU's that have more on chip cache. celerons I have heard
do not have that much cache, but they do work well.

also there are MB out there that can take 1Meg of L2 cache, I'd
look into getting that too, as that can help make it faster
also.

I'd also want to know more about a MB bios, as I just found mine
to be ..well less than satisfactory. the way my BIOS is set up
com ports 1 to 4 must use IRQ 3 or 4, yet my modem can use IRQ
2/9, 10, 12, 5, 3, or 4, but when I put my modem on any other
IRQ other than 3 or 4 I had problems with my MB, and ended up
having to reflash my BIOS. I ended up having to get a PS/2 mouse
which was their suggestion (MB manufacture), as I had 3 devices
that needed the com ports (modem, ups, mouse). yes the Linux
kernel can support 32 comports (maybe more?), but also make sure
that the BIOS will not have a problem with this as mine does.
who knows when you will need to have more than just 2 com ports.

just my 2 cent experience..
Joe
