The saga continues ...
Last night I left my box running two seti@home for another stress test.
Anyone who's been reading linux-smp over the last few weeks knows the
trouble that I've been having. Anyways, this time I ran it in console
mode only. No X. And what happens? No freezes. No errors. No oopses.
The system has been going strong for about 18 hours.

Now I ask, WTF is going on? Could it be the X server I'm using? Since I
have a nVidia TNT2 Ultra I am using the 3.3.3.1 X server from their
website and the glx.so module to take advantage of the TNT2's nifty GL
stuff. Is the culprit the pre compiled glx.so? Could it be SMP
unfriendly?
