Hiya all,

I am trying to install redhat 6.0 off the cheapbytes cdrom (I have used
this cdrom to install my other system so i know the cd works well)
to a:

abit bp6 mb,
2 x 500 mhz celerons (not overclocked),
128 meg ram,
6.4 gig ide drive,
2 x 18 gig ide drives,
40x cdrom

The 6.4 gig is on the 1st ide channel (master)
Cdrom on the 2nd ide channel (master)
18 gig on the 3rd ide channel (master)
18 gig on the 4th ide channel (master)

The system boots fine from cdrom and the os gets installed
no problems. I even watch it install from the virtual consoles.
But when the system reboots to run the linux system for the first time
nothing what so ever happens. I have the C drive in the bios as the
first thing to boot but that doesnt work at all. I am installing
lilo to the master boot record of the C drive (6.4 gig) but I get
nothing! No LI no L no nothing.. its like lilo isnt being installed
at all even though the virtual consoles during the install said it
installed fine. I am installing it in the first 300 mb (/) so I am
not hitting that 1024 limit thing.

It cant find any bootable media on the drive. This is
after trying the same install 3 times thinking I did something
wrong in the install. I dont have a floppy drive in this system so I have
disabled the floppy controller and told the bios it doesnt have an A or B
drive.

I am totally stumped! Beside the floppy thing I havent made any other
bios changes.

Any ideas?

Oh.. one more wierd thing.. the system doesnt see either 18 gig drive
when linux comes up to install although the bios does see them. ?? Any
ideas?

Thanks for ANY info you can offer..

Mike
