There is only SMP right now in FreeBSD, NetBSD seems to be working on
it, nothing yet in OpenBSD, so the fragmentation (which IMHO is less
than the differences between say Slack and RedHat, from a users point
of view anyway) shouldn't cause you any trouble :-)
O, yes, BSDI alias BSD/OS also has SMP. But that is commercial of
course.
