OK. That's a valid point. It might be overkill for a single processor.
I guess I just have a fixation for IRQs above 15 :)

OK.. so SGI kinda-sorta thinks like me.
Maybe they'll integrate the IOAPIC into newer chipsets.. that would negate
the need for an extra chip.
