You DON'T want to get rid of this cache, it the responsiblitiy of the kernel to
get rid of it. Unused memory is a BAD thing. Say you have 64M, and only 32 of it
is
currently used by the programs that are running. Why not put the other 32M to use
as disk cache? The memory doesn't have ANYTHING else to do. And if programs
start requiring more memory or you start more programs, the kernel can instantly
resize the cache and use more memory for programs. I bet you have alot more
running on your Dual P3, than the Dual P133. Just relax and be happy, the kernel
really does know what's best. ;-)
