On a brand new HP Kayak XU800 I get the unexpectd IO-APIC warning.
Also, this machine has a problem of not reporting the memory correctly
(which I've not seen for a long time). While it has 512M only 64M is seen
by the kernel (using append="mem=512M" fixes the problem).
