I'm novice for SMP. I have a small SMP box with a small UPS. The power in my
region is frequecy fail, longer than the UPS can stand. It seem to me that
it is not so good having an acumulating lost chain in the HD each time the
power fail. I don't know if it also cause other problem. I know from SMP FAQ
that the current SMP kernel does not support APM. Is it posible to let a
process to wait for a signal from UPS, to shut dow, turn off the ATX box,
and turn it on automatically when the power regain?
