hi cracks,
im havin a problem with a quad pproMachine from fujitsu.
it has four 166mhz ppro and two ioApic controllers.
it boots with argument 'noapic', but it then
uses only one cpu per process.
when booted, sometimes the interrupt of the
PCIethernetCard is not found
(tried a 3c905 and a DecTulip).
i tried kernel 2.2.15 and 2.3.99-pre8 with
gcc and egcs.
tonight i had a look at io_apic.c and
compared dmesgs from another dualPPro machine.
i found that there are fewer apicPins not connected
(look at bootMesg below).
would like to get any hints,
