Hi. I suddenly observe strange FPU errors on my SMP system.
Before blaming Linux I want to find out, if it is a possible
hardware problem. Also my system is a big disk server
also running oracle. Surprisingly neither samba and nor ORACLE
seems to be affected, so I don't want to shut the server
down now for some longer test sequence. My question is:
is there a simple way to find out on which processor
my test program is currently running when the FPU error
occures? I found the "pset" package, but this needs
a new kernel. Is there somehing like a CPU status register
to ask for the CPU id?
Dieter.
