I don't see these warnings on SuSE 8.0 with LiS 2.16.0.
I was building LiS with the default answer to all the
'make' questions and using gcc 2.95.
When using the SuSE 8.0 k_smp or k_psmp kernels (2.4.18-4GB-SMP
or 2.4.18-64GB-SMP) I had to do this before building LiS:
cp -p /boot/vmlinuz.config \
/usr/src/linux-2.4.18.SuSE/.config
cp -p /boot/vmlinuz.autoconf.h \
/usr/src/linux-2.4.18.SuSE/include/linux/autoconf.h
cp -p /boot/vmlinuz.version.h \
/usr/src/linux-2.4.18.SuSE/include/linux/version.h
This is not needed when using the k_deflt kernel (2.4.18-4GB).
This also applies to SuSE 8.1, SLES8, UnitedLinux1.0;
all of which use /usr/src/linux-2.4.19.SuSE
