In addition the Configure script and Makefile have been altered so that the file include/sys/LiS/genconf.h is generated from the Makefile instead of the Configure script. This allows you to manipulate the config.in file after running Configure and have the Makefile be fully sensitive to any changes that you may make.
I think that this will help some of your script writing.
