If you're soliciting votes, Dave, I would vote to include them with
the source. If size is a concern (I don't think it should be - man
pages compress well), they could be kept in a separate .tgz archive
that wouldn't have to be updated for each new source release; lots
of open source distributions are set up that way.

Brian, I would assume you intend to add a Makefile as well, for
converting to .html and/or other formats (using 'man2html', etc.).

Wow! Is that ever impressive.

I don't think that I will have time to read through all of it for proof reading, but hopefully others will be able to.

It strikes me that the size of all of this might be considerable. It is probably best to just have it available on the web rather than having it ride along with the LiS distribution.

Do you have some ideas on this?

I also really like the system diagrams with links into documentation.

All,

I have put up a preliminary cut of some Manual Pages for LiS. These
pages can be viewed currently on the web but will be released in
groff source once they have been inspected a bit more. Then I will
contribute them to the LiS release to accompany the source.

To start, look at the bottom of the page at:

http://www.openss7.org/manpages.html

Or start with the head LiS man page at:

http://www.openss7.org/man/man2html?9+LiS

If you see any places whre I am out to lunch or just plain mistaken
in these pages, don't hesitate to send me mail. It was my hope that
these would grow into a good set of documentation for LiS and related
software. Comments are welcomed.
