I was wondering if anyone had a pointer to a resource which describes how to set up kgdb for kernel debugging. Specifically, I have a potential SMP spin lock bug that causes the machine to lock up that I need to debug. I was planning on using LiS's lock debug trace buffer to debug this, but it sounds like you need the debugger to access this information when the machine is locked up (makes sense...). I've never set up kgdb on Linux before and just need a how-to-guide to help me along.
The information at http://kgdb.sourceforge.net/ is quite good.
