https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit?id=678e75d

I inserted this one here so the following stuff would cherry-pick ok, I
think that was the right thing to do.

I'm sure it was; it was in that place when the series was committed:

https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/log/?qt=range&q=a9f8cda3

Similarly, looking at:

https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/log/?qt=range&q=8284731e

I think we should also have:

https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=6d09dc6b74caaca83e32e67f2454406041d58fb0

in its original place in the series,

Ah that one, yes if Debian has any configs where the build fails without that
one then yes
it is needed.

> which I see Ben Hutchings has recently taken care of:

https://anonscm.debian.org/viewvc/kernel?view=revision&revision=22439

and we should also include:

https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=ba168a3c7ff6df2e346959445190484b8331eb3d

That one is not strictly necessary but it certainly makes simplefb support
somewhat more
useful as you will now get to see kernel messages much earlier, and it has
little chance
of introducing regressions.

Hans, do you agree?

I think that picking that one up makes sense, yes.

Regards,

Hans
