After a lot of struggling I've finally managed to run ubuntu on an optimusboard (Allwinner A80). I've compiled ffmpeg with cedarx support but when trying to transcode with the -c:v cedrus264 option it throws an error saying "cannot allocate frame".
There is a /dev/cedar_dev device node present and the libraries inside /usr/lib/vdpau are present too. I think it's a CMA problem but I'n not sure. I don't even know if the kernel has CMA enabled, there is no CMA mention inside the kernel arguments. Could someone please help me? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "linux-sunxi" group.
