Indeed there doesn't seem to be an option for that. It wouldn't be
very hard to add to simple-card though.

S24_LE is indeed not supported at the moment, but this shouldn't be
very difficult to support either.

alsa-devel and linux-arm-kernel would be more appriopriate I guess,
