Daniel:

In your /etc directory, there should be a file called  ld.so.conf . Edit
this file, and make sure it contains the line:

/usr/local/lib

If it does not, add that line, and then re-run ldconfig.

If that doesn't work, try moving both of the shared libraries to to /lib
directory, and then re-run ldconfig.
