Trying to kill the keyboard, [EMAIL PROTECTED] produced:

lsmod
say? (maybe the modules aren't loaded at all)
What is in your log file? There should be much valuable
information that'll help to understand the error.
Can you use ftmt status? Can you retenstion the tape? Or does
that not work either? Did you read the 'what to do if it does
not work' in the manual?

PS: Could you *please* tell your mail program *not* to send
HTML? It is considered rude to send HTML (or text and
HTML) unless it was explicitely agreed upon. Also, your
text is just 0.4 Kb, the HTML 1.2 Kb; many people pay per
minute and/or per Kb.
