Yes, they are compatible. Ditto 2GB is able to handle this type
of cartridge. I am using them regularly with my internal ditto
2G. I am using ftape-4.02 as driver on top of my 2.0.36 kernel
and Arkeia as backup software.

No, despooling is a problem of the drive. Some months ago I had
the same problem. Iomega replaced the drive without discussion
based on the two year warranty. Now, everything is ok.
