I've been trying to figure out how to get my AIWA Bolt EIDE tape drive to
work with Linux. I've searched the web and found a lot of discouraging
comments about this drive not working with Linux. But I found this
comment from Tim:

If you haven't purchased the drive yet, I'd recommend that you look into
the Aiwa Bolt drive. It is an IDE/ATAPI drive that provides 5GB/10GB of
capacity at 600KB per second and works great with Gadi's IDE tape driver
(ht0). The suggested retail for the internal is $149 and I've seen it
advertised for $129.

What do I need to do to get this drive working? I am too new to Linux to
know what "Gadi's IDE tape driver" means.

Any help is much appreciated. This drive has worked very well under that
"other" IA32 operating system and so far has proven to be my only headache
in my transition to Linux.

If this is helpful, I am using Suse Linux 6.3 kernel 2.2.13.

Thanks,
Bryan
