Sergio Ballestrero <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> has provided that patch that
comes with the ftape-tools package

I think the patch provided with ftape-tools fixes another bug of
Kbackup. KBackup uses "dd ibs=SOMETHING" | write_command_to_tape".  It
should use "dd bs=SOMETHING". Actually, the input block size really
does not matter when writing to a tape, only the ouput block-size. And
the output-blocksize does not matter when reading, only the input
block size.

Floppy tape drives are very old, and really not state of the
art. Nevertheless some of the problems with the combination
KBackup/ftape are rather KBackup bugs than ftape bugs (FIXME).
