ven't done any programming since the early days of
windows, and I am very very rusty.
I bought Corel's version of Linux just to see what can
be done with it. I am impressed with the graphics
interface, but I have not been able to get on the web
with it (I am writing this with the Windows 2000 Pro
operating system, and MS internet explorer browser),
and am stymied because my PCI modem will is not
compatible with Linux. Also, I have not been able to
install my HP USB printer.

system, but it will be only for experimenters (we used
to call ourselves "hackers" until that bacame a dirty
word) until some software and hardware developers
begin to realize the potential, and start writing
packages to install late model hardware, and
applications that can be used by the average computer
user.
I'm sorry I can be of no help to you. I suspect I
need help far worse than you do.
