Oh well, it was a nice fantasy. Thanks to the marvels of DepthChargeDebugging, the USB Controller is reporting "DevNotResp" to usb-ohci.c's dl_done_list() which reports USB_ST_NORESPONSE upstream. That macro and a couple others are defined as -ETIMEDOUT, hence the timeout errors that I'm experiencing.
Does the SiS 7001 just plain suck or is the endemic to all OHCI controllers? Is there a recommended replacement?
