I tried with /dev/usb/tts/0 with both jpilot (version 0.99.2) and
coldsync-2.2.5. Neither worked, though both succeeded in opening the
port (i.e. they both blocked, and the log files did not have the "Device
lied about...." message).
With coldsync on /dev/usb/tts/0 it would sleep, then when I pressed the
sync button it would pop up with "Please press the HotSync button." and
hang.
I noticed that the device claimed it had 6 ports, so I tried changing
num_ports to 6 on the palm 4.0 and clie 4.0 device types. /dev/usb/tts/0
was the only port I could open, though all 6 were created by devfs.
I am out of ideas (not too surprising - newbie at things usb). I hope
you can find something out from handspring.
Regardless, thanks for your help
Jeff
