Hello ,
We are trying to develop a single device multiple interface USB
device. Now we have made one interface as a printer and we want the other
interface to be a scanner. Now how do We get Linux to load separate drivers
for each interface . We had earlier tried out with both interfaces as
printers in which case there is no problem. Both the interfaces load a
separte instance of the driver .
However in the case of a separate scanner interface and printer interfcae
on a single device, in the probe_scanner routine I get the message
"probe_scanner: Only one device interface is supported" because my no of
interfaces is 2 for a single configuration .
Does that mean it is not possible to have a single device with multiple
interfaces ? Is it because of a single vendor /product ID and 2 different
interfaces . Any ideas as to how I could get round this problem .
Thanks in advance
Maria
