That message comes from shutting down the host controller after
an error ... you should have had some other, more relevant,
messages preceding it.

It could be the problem where the driver was expecting a register
to be writable (and so writing it!) at a time when it wasn't.
That sometimes caused the host controller to get very unhappy.
The patch for that will appear in 2.5.51, and has been in the
2.5.50bk snapshots much of this week. (ehci-1129a.patch)
Give that a try. I'll be sending along a 2.4 version of that
patch soonish (add to 2.4.20 after that pre11 ehci patch) after
a bit more testing.
