I'm working on an embedded system (MIPS, based on Globespan IVR) and
I've got the following problem...
I've compiled 2.4.19 and it works reliably except for EHCI (file copy
stops after about 20 MB). I'd like to use the newer EHCI code from
2.4.21-pre3. Unfortunately, it looks like there's been a huge PCI
rewrite, and I can't access my drives when I boot into a 2.4.21 kernel
(from flash).
Would I be better off trying to move drivers/usb from 2.4.21-pre3 to
2.4.19, or trying to move drivers/ide from 2.4.19 to 2.4.21-pre3? Can
someone here tell me how far drivers/usb reaches out of its directory
and impacts other drivers? I'll probably start experimenting later
tomorrow, but thought I'd seek out some advice before doing so.
