I'm interessed to use the serial function to have a hi-speed (USB 2.0) serial cable. Can this code be useful for this?

That lets you implement high speed USB devices with Linux 2.6 kernels, or in 2.4 kernels if you apply other patches. (The net2280 driver is working, and I've heard of folks working on SX2 support.) I don't think anyone has yet written a "tty gadget" driver yet; that'd be good to replace the "usb-char" drivers that some of the ARM kernels include.
This is not the same as the Lineo code you were asking about. (Which didn't support any high speed controllers, last I knew.)
