BTW what does CSW mean? Can the speed of the USB controller be reduced? I know that this question sounds quite strange, but if the external case has problems with the speed of the host controller this could make it work (It's probably just a stupid idea). Or is it usefull to check kernel 2.4.19 again? Maybe, we could see some difference in the output of dmesg.
