I am seeing USB hangs with in both ECHI+OCHI and just with OHCI enabled as well on an IBM w/ Intel 82801EB chipset, on a system with kernel 2.4.24 patched with Alan C.'s one liner and Oliver's patch as well.
...
The system is running without swap, and is in a low memory condition when the hangup occurs (about 2MiB of free RAM).
Does the 2.6 kernel have the same failure mode? I'm not sure I'd have expected 2.4 to handle USB-related low-memory fault modes, but 2.6 should have cleaned up most of that logic.
