Hi !, I recently got a new computer Asus AB-P 2600. I managed to get linux up and running but have some problems now that I want to build a customer kernel. The problem is that after X has started the location of the mouse cursor is visible, but there is no response when the usb mouse is moved. The only strange thing that I have noticed is this: The "input" module is not linked with the "hid" module ( there is "input [keybdev mousedev ]" instead of the correct "input [keybdev mousedev hid]" ). Do you know how this can be fixed ?
I have to install a graphic card driver for the customer kernel in order to let X work after bulding it. I noticed that already then the "input" module is missing this linking with "hid". I find the graphic card slightly suspect as when I install the diver "NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5336-pkgl.run" for the customer kernel, it insists on removing itself from the kernel that was first compiled. Do you have any ideas ?
