Hi List,

I tried to connect my KonicaMinolta Dimage A2 to my T40p and was not able to get it working.

I use Kernel-2.6.6 and another Compact-Flash reader works fine using usb-storage.

This is the relevant part from my log-file:

...
Jun 9 23:07:07 monat Initializing USB Mass Storage driver...
Jun 9 23:07:07 monat usbcore: registered new driver usb-storage
Jun 9 23:07:07 monat USB Mass Storage support registered.
Jun 9 23:07:27 monat usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using address 6
Jun 9 23:07:32 monat usb 2-1: control timeout on ep0in

Jun 9 23:07:48 monat usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using address 7

Jun 9 23:07:54 monat usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using address 8
Jun 9 23:07:59 monat usb 2-1: control timeout on ep0in
Jun 9 23:08:00 monat usb 2-1: device not accepting address 8, error -71
...

I fount some entries in linux/drivers/usb/storage/unusual_devs.h regarding older Minolta Digicams. But, AFAIK the entries in this file should only matter in a later part of the protocoll, i.e. after the device has its adress and is accessed as mass-storage device.

Has anyone an idea how to proceed?

Btw. the camera works fine in windows, so it does not seem to be a HW problem.

On another website (http://www.teaser.fr/~hfiguiere/linux/digicam.html) it is sayd, that the vendor ID for the A2 is 0x132b.

Greets,
Martin Pohlack
