yes - except the "unneeded SubClass and Protocol entries in unusual_devs.h", it says 
"Initializing USB Mass Storage driver..." instead - thanks to your patch :)

Yes, they are indeed, and I will not waste the rest of my life with it. Even when it 
was working it was very SLOW.

Nothing new so far - I will still go on trying it a little, but it is certainly time 
to get a new one, better a DVD writer ;)
