This page should answer many questions: http://www.linux-usb.org/gadget/h2-otg.html OTG is for "dual role" USB, like a cell phone that can be a USB host when printing pictures, or a USB peripheral later while acting like a 3G cell modem. In Linux 2.6.9, usbcore has working hooks for OTG. There's an OMAP based implementation, so it should be easier for another implementation to fit in ... no more usbcore surgery, just some drivers to write.
