You're even less likely to get support for that kernel
on this list than on linux-arm-kernel!
Also, it's news to me that there was CDC ACM support in
the "usb-char" driver ... if the board support package
for that board has a customized version, your best bet is
to expect that BSP's support team to resolve your issues.

(a) use 2.6.10-rc1-bk16 or so,
(b) ... which has the rev 2.0 "gadget serial" driver
(with CDC ACM support)
(c) ... as well as pxa2xx_udc
That's current code. I don't know that anyone's backported
the latest g_serial code to 2.4, but you should certainly be
able to get that working with the 2.4 version of pxa2xx_udc.
There are people working on the "gadget" stack, and using
it quite successfully on PXA hardware. Even on 2.4 kernels.
Our response to questions about those old drivers must be:
use the current code!
