Adding myself to the "plugdev" group and the device gets automounted (by gnome?) and I even get a question asking me if I want to import the pictures to my album (whatever/whereever that is) since the device contains pictures.
Anyway... you might want to add those id's to usb.ids if that's what lsusb uses.
