Oh boy. That is due to a very embarassing bug in the apcupsd patch. It doesn't initialize the inter-urb timer properly so it could end up waiting very, very long the first time thru.

Attached is the corrected patch.

I have two systems running with the apcupsd patch only and one with the kernel and apcupsd patch since the 17th, so far no problem. It would be interesting to know if Cristian has been able to do similar test and how things are going there as the problem used to show up quite fast in his system while here it can take time. As I'm pressured to release my hardware, could you test it as well Christian??
