I have 3-5 PC, Laptop etc, and 5-6 different model USB Stick.

I plug a stick to USB, many times it's identified normally. Mount etc..
OK.

But, sometimes system don't identifiy USB stick. According to dmesg, its
can't read from device with error -110 (or -70, sometime but not
frequently).

I remove UHCI, EHCI, OHCI drivers, and retry with one driver. Sometimes
EHCI can be solve, sometimes UHCI. But, if i plug stick to any other USB
socket, this problem can be re-occur..

I Don't see any extra position, state etc. for this problem, i think its
a completely randomly reason.

I use, Linux 2.6.10 vanilla, MDK 10, Mandriva 2005, Fedora 3/4. Many
PC's have recompiled kernels. All systems infected :(

I think a reason for this problem, but don't sure:

If EHCI+UHCI modules and USB 1.x / 2.X controller present, and a device
plugged, EHCI or UHCI can claim this device, but device plugged to other
controller. If only EHCI presented and only 2.0 controller used, this
problem can't occurred (or only 1.1 and UHCI module).

Do you have any information for solution of this problem?

Best regards...
