Anything is better than what we have now. As far as USBMon (uppercase)
is concerned, decoding needs to be reimplemented in Java, so I was
going to look at your awk script for ideas. Randy may be able to
convert it to Perl more directly. I assume that all these components
are covered by GPL, so we are free to mix and match.
