Hello:

After looking the first message twice, and reading the bug report section on the project home page, i thought to send a second more correct mail.

I have an Asus P4S533 mother board. It has a SiS 645DX Chipset. It came with two USB 1.0 OHCI Host Controllers. Both with two usb connectors. In one of them i have a Thomson DCM245 Cable Modem and a Chicony Electronics USB Wireless HID for my keyboard and mouse. In the other i have the Wisegroup MP-8866 Dual USB Joypad i have problem with. It does not work and when i connect it i can see this in dmesg:

usb 2-1: new low speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 2
usb 2-1: string descriptor 0 read error: -32
usb 2-1: string descriptor 0 read error: -32

At the moment i'm using 2.6.15-rc7 kernel. I'm loading these modules at boot: ohci-hcd, uhci-hcd, usbnet, cdc_ether, usbhid, joydev and evdev among others not related to the problem or usb.

As i said in the first mail, i have collected some urls talking about the problem. I will add them here so they could be helpful:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/long_list.cgi?buglist=125353
http://www.spinics.net/lists/usb/msg01863.html
http://www.mail-archive.com/linux-usb-users@lists.sourceforge.net/msg12210.html
http://www.mail-archive.com/linux-usb-devel@lists.sourceforge.net/msg35704.html

The last one is interesting as the author figured out what was the problem.

As suggested by the bug report section i have collected information from lspci, lsusb, devices and dmesg. I didn't wanted to send a very large message so i'm sending them as attached files. The information from those commands is full, not only related to the MP-8866 Dual USB Joypad as i didn't want to miss anything that could be helpful.

Thank you very much,
