Hmmm, you do have me there a little.  There is a third machine in the office
(x86 P4) which has kernel 2.6.14 on it and it did not work when plugged into
that machine.  However, that machine sees little use, so the drive not working
on it may be do to something else.

But, you are correct that I never actually tried on 2.6.13.  For completeness,
I will try both kernels 2.6.13 and 14 on the new machine with USB debugging
enabled.  I will let you know of the results.
