Try the patch at:
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/gregkh/driver_core/2.6/2.6.16/sysfs_remove_dir-needs-to-invalidate-the-dentry.patch
it should fix this issue. That patch has been queued up for inclusion
in 2.6.16.1.
