Hello, I created and posted (to this list some time ago) patches which allow to use this driver on IXP4xx platform. Please apply them and then only add your IXP420_BB define. Nothing else would be needed then.
As far as I see, you can compile this driver, but did you really test it? Without platform_add_devices part in arch/arm/mach-ixp4xx/common.c (or ixdp425-setup.c) the driver should fail on modprobe with -ENODEV.
