Conceeded.

I still maintain the fundamental API design uneccesarily exacerbates
that.  But I'm not going to win that argument, so I'm letting go with
both hands.

Let's establish how to report missed slots, I'll update the patches,
and then try to figure out what's going on with usbaudio.
