I have already sent the patch to the linux-usb maintainer in proper form... i searched at the wrong place for docs how to submit patches... sorry...
the virtual-cd-drive contains the windows drivers... and if the virtual-cd-drive is enabled the modem-devices does not work... at least with my configuration... with disabled cd-drive everything works (for at least 3 people). disabling the cd-drive could be also done in the ppp-go script or in any simmilar but then you get this annoying "found new-media"-msg if your distribution searches for them and if there are only windows drivers (which i don't think are needed under linux) the better way is ignoring this device in usb-storage another part wich is also already submited adds the product-id to the usb-gsm-driver... 73 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
