Yep, it seems that the HUB is built into the keyboard - Florin mentions it 
here: http://lkml.org/lkml/2006/12/25/35 (thwe second paragraph).

Sure; but anyway Florin states that before 2.6.20-rc2 or so this was not 
reproducible.
