Hi Alan, I tested on Windows (2000, not XP). Win2000 recognizes the Belkin 4-in-1 media reader/writer device, but the MMC card is not seen there either. Maybe it's just a bad (new) MMC card, or maybe the MMC slot of the Belkin device is flaky.
