Hi, for this conversation i am taking a simple usb device( surely this is not a block device, a kind of char device)
step 1 --------- i can create a kernel module with specifically allocated major and minor number. so through device file i can access the device driver. This is surely a char device driver. step 2 ---------- i can create a kernel module without specifically allocated major and minor number. But i will create only attribute files in /sys. so that i can access the device. still, is it a char device driver.? whatever i stated above is correct? am i missing anything? please correct me if i am wrong.
