I own two usb-serial cables which use the ark3117 and mct_u232 drivers, respectively; I use them to connect a 28k modem to my laptop. Both drivers fail if connecting to a CVS repository with the `ext' method: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/cvs/fontforge> cvs -t update -dP -> main: Session ID is 7fbb4636ffad4567 -> main loop with CVSROOT=/cvsroot/fontforge -> open_connection_to_server (:ext:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/fontforge) -> Starting server: ssh -l wlemb fontforge.cvs.sourceforge.net cvs server After the last command, both drivers hang forever. On the other hand, accessing CVS archives with the `pserver' method is just fine. IIRC, this problem didn't exist with a standard serial driver (which my laptop no longer has). What might be the reason for this problem? Any idea how this could be fixed? The funny thing is that both drivers are affected...
